WORST SHOP CLASS EVER

Today in shop class was probably one of the worst days of my life. This kid was using the jointer machine, for those who dont know what that is its the long table with a spinning saw blade in the middle of it, that you push the wood though. So when a kid was using it, he was just doing everything the right way pushing it thought and everything, but when it hit the guard is slowed down and his hands slipped off and one got caught in it. all i heard was FUCK FUCK FUCK OH MY GOD, so i looked over and i thought he was just joking around with catsup or something but he wasn't. He got his middle, pointer, and ring finger cut about an inch down from the tip. it was really bad. and the janitors had to go though the machine and get all his fingers afterwards so that they could get them sewed back on. Does anyone else have any bad stories from their shop classes?

Worst I got wasnt that bad. Air stapler to the palm. The staple went almost all the way through my hand so it was emedded a little into the bone aligned with my middle finger. My friend Mat and I spent 15 minutes in the painting room with pliers so my shop teacher wouldnt find out.

Excruciating though.

We have one of those at our school. It cost $60000 and its almost a bad thing because a bunch of kids want to see what it will do so they put stuff in front of it like the above video to see what happens. Well when the blad stops automatically like that it wrecks a bunch of stuff in the internals and its $800 for new parts. Needless to say, that saw is now only allowed for people in the Advanced classes, the kids that dont need it most...

in a hartford public school a group of kids cut another kid's hand off with a ban saw and the all the kids involved were in 8th grade

fucking gnarly man, last year in my shop class this huge black kid, 1 of 10 at my school prolly, sliced his freakn finger on the ban saw when we had a long term sub, due to our teacher getting a felony and his liscense taken away. coolest fucking teacher ever, the replacement sub was a child molester from middle school, no joke ive heard stories from people about his shit, freaky shit man, sucks tho.

I use the belt sander to finish up my finger nails, when I had woodshop last semester it was literally the best time my fingernails have ever had.

this one kid in shop class jerkin off in the back, and when he pulled his zipper up it got jammed on his dick and it started bleeding all over the place. Then the assistant principal had to look at it and touch it to make sure his dick was goin to be ok

Our teacher told us about the only incident on the lathe but its fucking gnarly. A kid was squaring a long piece of pipe on the lathe, but it was really long so it was protruding from the head stock like its made too. But then he got his friend to put on welding gloves and hold it so it doesn't wobble when he turns it on. Well part way through, the leather gloves caught onto the pipe and he got his arm ripped off at like 500 rpm on machine that won't stop unless someone stops it.

Last year, first year of high school, my class was making boomerangs. So after we got the cut and all that, we had to sand them. So this girl was sanding and "nicked" her NAIL on the sander, passed out, and went to the hospital.. One week later, this asian kid hit his hand on it, it was pussing white shit, and bleeding, all he said was ow, and walked away.

Last year in shop class this kid drank a whole bottle of vodka and had to be flown out to a hospital in a helicopter. But basically every week in my school someone chops off a finger or two.

last year some kid was using the disk sander and it ripped the skin off his knuckles. And i remember back in middle school some dumb ass sewed her finger to her bag she was making in her sewing class haha.

A while back, my teacher said that some kid was being a dumbass, and didn't use a clamp while drilling metal on the drill press, it spun and cut his stomach open. We haven"t had any accidents so far this year in metals, besides my friend who lit his hand on fire on oxy-acetylene. My teacher is so funny though, he has been teaching for 30 years now, so he can do whatever he wants. A few years back, he caught some kid with a dip, and made him eat the entire fucking can. And if he sees anyone with a dip, he'll just walk up and rub it in with his thumb so your swallow some.

that fuckin blows, sorry for that dude.  reminds me of a time when a kid in my shop class faked an injury.  scream and shit from using the ban saw, and my teacher came over and saw he was ok.  so he got a 3-5 detention for faking an injury.  but at the time we all flipped the fuck out when he did it, and we all thought it was serioius.

lol isn't high school funny? Kids are always fucking around. In one of my science glasses there was this gas valve on top of a table, and this kid would always turn it on when the teacher was gone, and light it on fire so it shot this huge flame out

Some kid who used to be on my soccer team was making icing for a cake or something (hes kinda gay that way) and it got jammed. So, like a dumbass, he stuck his hand down there and cut his left pointer finger down a knuckle. So now its about 1cm shorter than normal, and we call him nubby.

yeah thats a bad feeling. the only other thing i did was get my knuckle cut by the band saw that left a scar but thats not really cool, no fingers flying off

I don't think there has ever been a serious injury at my school, but my dad owns a roofing company and his workers get hurt every now and then. One time he fell of the roof and landed on his ribs on a deck railing, Another guy slite his wrist on a piece of metal, and it was gushing so much blood they were trying to control it with a grocery bag.

first off they didnt look for his fingers james cause the 1/4 inch (not inch) that got cut off got shreded into a bazillion little pieces.  and for the record he's gonna have reconstructive surgry and his fingers will be returned to normal length and condition

We did some funny shit in my middle school technology class. Someone made a ridiculously sharp spear in class and hurled it at someone else. Caught them in the hand, he had to go to the ER to get stitched up.
