This. 
What i do is whenever I'm listening to itunes and the song seems like it would be good for an edit, i just drag it into a "ski edit" playlist.

i always get the craziest ideas in my head to use certain songs. like i can imagine shots to use that would look so gooood....but i dont have a camera.

before i use a song in an edit, i do the same thing. just gotta listen to it and what you see in your head is usually what fits the song best.
