Im looking to build a ski box/rail for my back yard. anyone got any ideas for under $500? No shitty PVC

PVC is not that shitty really. i have had a box and rail made out of it for 2 years and i have had no cracks or problems with it..

go online and do some fucking research.

like go onto plastic companies online, see how much it is per foot for how thick u want it, then do the math. dont be lazy

so if its like 30 bucks a square foot for half inch thick, times that by 6 and u got how much it is for a 12 foot half inch thick half foot wide box.
so in that case it'd be 120 for a 12 foot box.
these are all just made up numbers, but you get the gist. go research.

not hard, sorry.

dude just go to a welder and tell him what you want to do and go from there
me and my buddy got a 8ft long rail that is 3-4 feet high and cost 90$
works good, looks good, do it.

hey....calm down here...he was talking about no shitty pvc because lots of people use pvc for homemade rails and boxes......i wasn't trying to be so harsh we need more peace on NS so sorry if i came of that way...

I use half inch, UV resistant UHMW on all my stuff.  It's like $400 something per 4'x10' sheet.  There's boxes in our park going on 5 years without replacement.

You don't need full half inch. If you you make it with a little coping on the side or something you'd probably be good with 1/4" or 1/8"
