Why would Palestinians have a problem killing israeli children when the israeli 'soldiers' (terrorists) are quite happy to kill children, women and men without trial; knock down their houses; impose unlawful restraints on huge numbers of people.

How are palestinians supposed to attack the israeli military?! The israelis are there due to america, they are partly funded by america, they are protected by american systems and weapons. They have the largest airforce in the world. How are the palestinians supposed to fight a 'fair war'? That's completly impossible. They are attacking the only way they can.

When were any of these 'hamas leaders and terrorists' tried in a court? What? They weren't I hear you say? Ah... so Israel just killed them? Isn't one of America's great pillars of democracy 'Innocent Until Proven Guilty'? America's lack of interest when it comes to Israel and these illegal murders and Guantanamo bay would suggest otherwise.

smite- youve told me nothing new. as much as i wish that i could stop people from writing things that promote the sterotypical 'american attitude', i cant. sadly. i lived in canada and had the opportunity to have dinner with a family that lived in maple ridge b.c., just outside of vancouver, and the mother in that home was astounded to learn that neither i, nor my two friends who i was with owned guns. i am pretty sure that the majority of americans dont. not that i am opposed to it, i just dont really need one. so at the same time that 1000g was proginating the obtuse image that some americans may embody, both you and skipimp are in the same way re affirming in my mind an image of europeans and canadians that they are equally uninformed and obtuse in the way they might look at americans. surely you can grant me this point. as for the ensuing argument pretaining to the middle east situation, it really is hard to point the finger at isreal. in their minds they, as an ethnicity are equally entitled to the land they occupy as are the pallestinians. if the two of you fit the typical liberal euro-canadian mold (which you might or might not) then you might not be familiar with the origins of the palastinian/isreali conflict, as it pretains to the religious histories of both races and their common progenitor. as for the united states military denying the enemy combatants the premise of innocent untill proven guilty, you have to know that applies to people that are put to trial under federal or state offences. not to those who are captured while being suspect of crimes against the country that may fall outside of united states federal law. you should know that, as it is general, common knowledge. and one more point about isreal/palistine... isreal has the upper hand millitarily because they have been supported by the united states. does that make them inherently wrong? not anymore than are the palestinians, who by the way, have been the recepicants of tens of millions of dollars sent to the palestinian athority from western nations. of course when this money ends up in the hands of hamas and the al occa martyrs brigade to build bombs that are made to kill shoppers at a supermarket.
in fine, i guess that is what i wish 1000grand or whatever his name was would have said, instead of his foolish rants about scotland not being a country and whatnot. i am certain that you can grant the fact that you may be ignorant about certian things, just as i may be, just as skipimp may be, and just as 1000g has provent himself to be. that just how it is.

a quick ammendment: i ment to end the sentance about the aid money to the plo by saying that when the money ends up funding bombs that target civilians, that that makes it hard to want to continue sending said money. which may affect the veiws of the palestinians and the arab peoples who see american money going predominatly to isreal, not so much palestine anymore.

anewmorning- I only set out what I see as a logical argument, I never said that ALL american's were like this, in fact I said that any americans were actually like this, i said that this is how they are viewed and for what reasons.

It is very easy to point the finger at israel IMO. They both feel the right to the land, yes, but that doesn't support a claim that Israel had the right to take it over. Israel did start the latest bout of hostility and agression. I didn't say the americans went against their law, I said they went against one of their basic beliefs, i'm sure it's in that constituation somewhere.

I didn't say that Israel were wrong in accepting this money from the states, i merely explained it was the States that funded the terrorist acts they commit.

P.S. That question was for anewmorning, who apparently lives in the US. And though they never occupied Scottish territory, the ROmans probably could have had it whenever they wanted. Hadrian's wall was just there to keep barbarians out, he wasn't actually afraid of an attack. A later Emperor even built another one further up, and nobody noticed... when you have a tribal culture there isn't a lot of unified opposition. Rome just didn't think the north was worth their time.

It's all about SHINTY. It's the most insane game in the world, a little bit like field hockey, but the balls off the ground far more and full contact is allowed. No pads allowed and only around 10% of players wear helmets. It's mostly played up in the highlands. This game is INSANE...
