Bro's before hoe's?

So this thread is a little pointless but i just wanted to see what you would do in my situation.

My buddy starts dating this girl, a month later he dumps her after cheating on her. A week later they get back together within a month he cheats on her again and dumps her again. A couple weeks later i find myself talking to the girl, she asks if i want to hang out sometime im down for it, shes cool and i dont think my buddy would mind because he dumped her twice. Me and the girl hang out for about 2 weeks with out my buddy knowing. Then he finds out and flips shit saying that i need to chose him or her and that i am being a terrible friend? overall im just pissed that i cant hang out with the girl with out potentially loosing a friend.

so NS what would you do?

Like if a girl dumps a guy you have to wait like 3 months or something, and if a guy dumps a girl you have to wait like 3 weeks?
Idk, tell him to grow up, and that he dumped her...twice after cheating on her...twice.
IMO she's fair game and your friend is just being a douche.

I never understood the whole negative connotations of dating a friend's ex.

If nobody ever dated their friends' exes, it would be REALLY slim pickings in small towns like mine. Just because you date a girl doesn't mean you fucking own her from then on. It should matter if a girl is single or not, not if she's dated anyone you're friends with.

There ARE however, important things to consider, like giving your friend some time to recover first, and wether or not there is a major chance of them reconciling.

I think your friend is definitely over reacting. He doesn't own her, and he disrespected her. He has no rights to her. She isn't an object, she is a person. on a more serious note, he should not be angry. i semi, agree the previous post about small town slim pickings, but you can start getting in her when the time is right. you can just immediatly start getting cuddly with her after your friend breaks up with her. you gotta let there be some time before you throw your game on her. idk just my two cents.
