Im currently in the SPK pros but my foot has grown so i need to get new boots. Looking at the Booters but the only place i could try em on is a few hours away. I love my spk's but im wondering if the Booter will be to narrow for my foot? Has anyone gone from the SPK to the Booter or any other Full TIlt? Thanks! +k
from pros to booters. booters are way soft. chances are you'll flex right through it with no support. i had this issue with agents to hotdoggers and i love them. soft fit my leg and foot and still have support.
i hope you find the boot for you. try on everything. it is worth it.
They aren't as wide but they're have a really thick shell so they can be blown out and shaved out a ton. plus with the heat moldable liner it will form right to your foot so you probably won't notice much difference if any.
That's a massive leap especially if your feet have just grown. If I were you I would stick with salomon, but if you go to the store and find that they fit then go ahead..
i dont know how anyone can ski on the tongue provided on the booter/hot dogger. i have first yera HD's and skied one day with the purple tongue before grabbing a black one. sooo much stiffer and sicker
i went from spk to a full tilt and im happy with ft because they fit my feet. If you fit in spk good then i would stick with them cause ft are very narrow.
jesus christ, searchbar. there has been WAYYYYY to many threads about this topic. "OMG OMG GUIZE. SHUD I GET FULL TILTS OR SPK PROS CUZ ALL THE PROZZ HAVE THEM AND IF I HAVE THEM IT WILL MAKE ME BETTER AT SKIING." also go to a bootfitter and dont be a trend whore
You're completely wrong, Full Tilts have the plug-boot thickness, which if anybody knows anything about plug boots, makes the shells have very thick plastic making lots of room for grinding/ blowing out.
SPK shell last is about a 105mm depending on size. FT shell last is about 98/99mm. The FT is a way narrower and lower volume shell. It is true that Salomon narrows the liner on the SPK Pro, but liners always pack out to a shell's dimensions. If the FT is close but needs to be stretched or ground a bit, they hold up really well- the shells are super thick and designed for that type of customization.
But always buy what fits. If a SPK has fit you well in the past, I have some doubts that a FT will fit you comfortably. Have a bootfitter do a shell fit (length and for width).
I think it's at least worth trying them on, they are super sick boots and are SO comfy. If they don't fit, don't get them though - it's not really worth having an uncomfortable boot.
Full tilts have a very thin shell, thinner than most other recreational boots even. Thats what helps to make them so light, coupled with the intuition liner. Do not grind full tilt boots, yes they can be punched but not as far as alot of other boots.
A head raptor rd 150 has a 13mm thick plastic shell (great for grinding). Full tilt is 5mm thick at the very most............
