in the us, utah. more specifically the cottonwood resorts (brighton/solitude and alta/bird). you can't live "at the base of the mountain" like you mentioned, but you can live right at the base of the canyons, and utah gets consistant dumps of the greatest snow on earth (tm) on the reg between dec and april.
mt baker gets tons of snow too, i'm not sure about anything other than that there though.
yeah, but those are cottages/cabins for weekly rentals, not residences to move to and live at for an entire season.
and even if you could do that, they would be very unafforadable for a full season unless you are super loaded. there are cabins and cottages that you may be able to get on as a caretaker that are right by brighton/solitude or just up big or little cottonwood canyons a little ways, but in all reality those opps are rare and snatched up right away.
your best bet is to live at the base of the canyons, you can find rooms for rent there often if you look a bit.
