Mountain with the most consistent powder

Im deciding where to live after university, and I want to live at the base of a mountain with the most consistent powder every year. Any legit facts or information is greatly appreciated! +K

in the us, utah. more specifically the cottonwood resorts (brighton/solitude and alta/bird). you can't live "at the base of the mountain" like you mentioned, but you can live right at the base of the canyons, and utah gets consistant dumps of the greatest snow on earth (tm) on the reg between dec and april.

mt baker gets tons of snow too, i'm not sure about anything other than that there though.

two years ago me and my family rented a cottage that was about 2min walk from the base, i think thats pretty much at the base. those are mad expensive tho.

yeah, but those are cottages/cabins for weekly rentals, not residences to move to and live at for an entire season.

and even if you could do that, they would be very unafforadable for a full season unless you are super loaded. there are cabins and cottages that you may be able to get on as a caretaker that are right by brighton/solitude or just up big or little cottonwood canyons a little ways, but in all reality those opps are rare and snatched up right away.

your best bet is to live at the base of the canyons, you can find rooms for rent there often if you look a bit.

Not even kidding, I would not put Baker on there. Nor any of the mountains in the immediate PNW. I would have to say Utah or maybe some of the mountains in the more interior B.C. have the most consistent amount of powder.

if you wanna go big then id say whistler is the most notable choice....but in the us, i would say alta/bird is great, most of utah in general gets pounded year long

baker is probably awesome for you. cheap tix, tons of epic pow, a fairly small jib park (maybe jumps?) and a short drive from bellingham, which has western university. go on the washington forum for more info/ to find people to pm for info
