To anyone who has ever gotten a DUI

first off, i know im an idiot for driving drunk. please dont respond with bullshit like "your stupid"

but my question is: will i get piss tested after my court date, and should i stop smoking now?

But seriously stop giving this guy so much grief. He fucked up a little, and he's learning from it. It's only a DUI. It could be way worse...DUI is a way common crime and not something you should judge someone on. I mean obviously he was impaired when he made the decision to drive. Going right to saying YOU COULD HAVE KILLED SOMEONE isn't a reflection of good character, i don't care if you're paralyzed cause of a drunk, saying that does more harm than good. Blindly victimizing this guy with your "morals" just makes you seem like an ass...not to mention half of the haters wouldn't have posted if the first post wasn't against OP.
No one got hurt, everyone fucks up, and it could have been much worse; hopefully he learned his lesson. A fellow NSer just got a DUI, give him some vibes.

Whoever made a big deal about him still wanting to smoke is a douche. I don't know how it is in your state, but if he's not getting tested, what's the harm? If it makes him happy, that's all that matters.

thanks to everyone who attempted to help me with my situation. let me say that i whole heartedly regret making the decision to get behind the wheel of a car, no matter how much alcohol was in my system (not a lot). to the people who were complete and total fags about it (including one person who stated that they wished i ran into a tree and died) fuck you. i stated in my first post i wasnt looking for shit like that. obviously i know it wasnt a good idea. i was simply clarifying one aspect of my situation, since i had basically cleared up everything else through research.

again, thanks to everyone who helped. i truly appreciate it.

Everyone bagging on this guy, seriously, im sure that you have driven at one point over the fucking limit. Remember if you are under 21, it .02%.

Basically don't drive drunk thats fucking dumb.

Under the influence and being trashed is different,.
You can wake up from a long night and have a rough morning, u can quite frequently still be above the limit.

Sorry to say this, but whatever you get you definitely deserve.

But I had a friend, well, now ex friend (he started doing coke, became a douchebag) that got a DUI in WA state when he was 19 and he is still getting random piss tests close to a year later now. He also had some pot in his system too when he got picked up so that could be why he is still getting piss tested.

Nah respect for that. even though I hate drink drivers as well, there are probably times when I may have had 3 drinks over a couple of hours which may put me over but I do feel seriously fine..
Definitely no respect to those who get done at like 4 times over or something.
But some times may be very marginal.

I feel sorry for the OP and goodluck with the case.
