Mad props to the Berrics for their new initiative. I only hope that if skiing ever found itself in that position, something similar would happen.

Word. The Berrics is awesome. The difference in skiing is that the market for it is so much bigger, and has so many different disciplines. (racing, freestyle, tele, nordic, ect.) There are shops that accommodate all of these, so it is much harder for ski shops to die out.(although I know it does happen all the time, just less often than skate shops who only cater to kids, and locals)
