How the hell do you use this, i have tried fooling around with it and still dont get the basic idea, i want to make a tabletop or a stepdown, so if anyone could help me out it would be much appreciated

LOL. You have to screw around with it for hours on end to even get a hang of it, especially modeling. Its not just something u pick up in 10min unless ur a wiz kid or something. Try looking for basic tutorials online to get familar.
