Replying to How to convince my rents to let me go skiing.

So my school is startin up their annual ski/board club thing where we go on like 2 trips. its during school so we pretty much get to skip class and just ski all day. but a buddy of mine joined the racing team last year and got to go on like 5 trips or some shit. he said that all they do is their timed run, and then the rest of the day is just chillin on the mountain., so its not really racing.

im trying to convince my rents to let me join the team but they said they're not going to let me because i cant afford to miss school cuz my marks aren't that good, even though its like 5 days over 4 months. any ideas on how i'm gonna convince them to let me skip school to shred?
