Replying to Slow Motion with 60i

Hey guys,
I have a canon hf10 and have been experimenting with different methods of slow motion for a while now. My best results have came from shooting in 60i and de-interlacing and setting to 50% speed on JES De-Interlacer.

This method works well, but I was wondering if there was a better way to do this, and achieve better results, maybe using After Effects or Final Cut Express.

What is the best way to achieve slow motion with my camcorder (shoots in 30p, 24p and 60i) and software combo?
