Looking at a couple different ski options for this season, still undecided on model and sizing. 5'10" 170lbs, agressive skier, love skiing switch on all terrain, 50/50 all mountain and park east coast with maybe one trip out west per year. Planning to mount at -1 (171cm) or -1.5 (181cm).
Looking for a mid-fat ski that will perform in the east, yet still be able to handle some overnight fresh or a couple days out west. Have not been on a rockered ski before, I'm currently on a 6 year old 168cm Rossi Scratch FS (110/80/103, significant camber underfoot) with a traditional mount that chatters at speed and sinks into any powder, just to give you an idea of what I'm coming from, so I'm looking for something larger, but a 181 feels like it would be huge.
On paper the Jeronimos (126/96/120, 10mm/25cm rocker, 21.4m radius, bamboo core) and Kung Fujas (125/95/120, 5mm/30cm rocker, 21m radius, fir core) look quite similar, any on-snow comparisons? I'm looking for a ski that's soft enough to butter but will still give enough support for all-mountain performance and stomping airs. So stiffer than a Line Anthem but not as stiff as a Volkl Wall or Fischer Addict. I've also looked at a couple thinner skis that would be more east coast specific, like the Armada AR6, but didn't like the flex profile (carbon stringers in the tail felt oriented for non-switch riding).
Final factor to consider is that the shop I work at is a K2 dealer. Any input from the ON3P guys or anyone who's skied on either model would be appreciated!
