"According to new quotes from DW on TMZ.com today, it's serious enough that Lesnar's career could possibly be in jeopardy.  White apparently told TMZ that Lesnar has been hospitalized ever since he collapsed during what was supposed to be a relaxing trip to Canada last week, and he may now need "major surgery" to deal with an intestinal disorder"

not that i would ever wish harm on someone but the dude is a total douche bag.

brock lesnar is total dirt bag in and out of the cage. he is bad for the sport. take a look at some of his bouts if you want to talk about some CLASS. and by the way, i said i would not wish any thing bad for anyone.

I met him in person once and he isn't that bad of a guy, but he is EXTREMELY cocky. Like, think Chad Ochocinco, Plaxico Burris, Terrel Owens cocky. It is fucking annoying and really put me off. If he never fights again, oh well... I could care less.

Matt Hamill, Mark Coleman, Randy Couture, Rich Franklin, Jon Fitch, Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic, Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva (depending on who he is fighting he can be though), Antoni Hardonk, Jens "Lil Evil" Pulver, and Andrei Arlovski are all pretty humble people.

But it was HOW he was cocky that got to me. You know some people will say I am great and really good and it just gets annoying, he acted like he was what God shits out in the morning type cocky.

Here is how I look at this. I hope he gets sick enough that he has to relinquish the title (which in my completely honest opinion he never deserved a shot at so soon in the first place) and then when he gets better he has to re earn a title shot and either Cain Velasquez, Big Nog, or possibly some unheard of Heavyweight just beats the HOLY FUCK out of him and he never re enters the ring.

Everyone rips on how cocky he is....but look at who he is and what he does. He should, and needs to, be cocky. He may be one of the top fighters in the entire world. He is one of the biggest/fastest/most agile humans in the world. I guarantee that there is not one person on this entire website that would willingly get into the ring with him. If any of you knew that about yourself, you would be cocky too. And, look at is job. It is to fight against people who would absolutely love to break his face and injure him to unconsciousness. If he ever steps into the octagon with even a fraction of doubt in his mind, he could get seriously fucked up. He has spent most of his life, knowing he needs to fight someone, one-on-one. And has the mindset of a fighter. That is something you just don't turn on or off. And who cares if he gives the finger to the fans, he feeds off that. A lot of people do. Think of it this way....you're getting ready to drop into a jump, and some gaper from the lift starts talking shit to you and telling you that you suck. So instead of doing that zero spin that you were going to do.....you drop in a stick a SICK corked 7 and stomp it. Isn't that like giving the gaper the proverbial finger?? Don't you feel good knowing that you just shoved it into that person's face and shut them up?

Not trying to be an extreme dick but that is like saying that when Renato Babalu Sobral didn't release his choke in his final UFC fight that it was OK cause he is a fighter and that is what they do.

Most fighters turn it on for the fights and post fight interviews but have it turned off for everything else. Look at Matt Serra and Matt Hughes and the crap they used to say about each other... but after their fight they shook hands and put it away.

In my pure opinion I am not taking anything away from how good of a fighter he is. he is undoubtedly, at least outside of maybe GSP (who I also am not a huge fan of) is one of the most pure athlete in MMA today. But for the type of person I am I was raised to never be cocky and not to show off. The guys attitude pushes me the wrong way and I hope that he gets better, comes back and someone that is unheard of kicks his ass.

I didn't get a bad vibe from your post at all. I don't know anything about the RBS choke thing, but I agree that it sounds completely classless and unnecessary. I don't believe that Brock is out to injure people (outside the sport and rules). I believe that he is just a super intense guy that lives his life intense as well. I guess I see Serra and Hughes as part of the minority as far as being cocky. I see Brock more of a Ray Lewis of MMA, where Serra and Hughes more of a Manning.

And I agree, I too was brought up to have an "act like you've been there" attitude. But I, as I'm sure you do, know people who have a certain skill, and are cocky about it. I know skiers and snowboarders that are cocky as shit about their riding. But....if they can also back up that cockness, then it's hard to talk shit about them.

Now, people who are cocky, but CAN'T back it up, deserve to be called every name in the book and made fun of.

To tell the story short the Renato Babalu Sobral choke he got a guy in either a Rear Naked Choke or a Trinagle and the guy tapped but he didn't let go. I mean, most guys let go as soon as they feel the person tap but Babalu kept holding. And then I think it was Steve Mazegatti that stepped in to try and get him to break the hold and he still didn't until the guy passed out. He went from being a fan favorite to being booed like the Yanks are booed at Fenway Park.

Only time will tell, but I still hope that someone comes in and knocks him out or makes him tap again.

WTF? Lesnar's overall MMA record is 4-1 with one of those fights being in a promotion I've never even heard of. Not to mention that the heavyweight division in the UFC isn't nearly as stacked as some of the lower weight classes. Sure he's a monster, a great athlete and an accomplished college wrestler but I'm hesitant to praise him as highly as some of you are. Regardless, it's unfortunate that he's sick and hopefully he'll get better. And I'm still not sure what to make of him as a person, I guess overall he comes off as a major spastic.

It will also be interesting to see how the UFC reacts if they lose him. If he happens to lose his prize heavyweight Dana White may not be so brazen anymore. It could be argued that in boxing once the heavyweight division kind of went under the whole sport took a major hit, I wonder if we'll see the same with the UFC.

any publicity of lesnar being sick and not fighting will only increase the popularity of the sport i'm sure. it is growing and more coverage will most likely spread it more.

The ultimate downfall of Boxing from what it once was to what it is now is that there were like 5 different heavyweight champions of the world and no one ever knew who was best. MMA is also kinda going the same direction too I guess you could say, I really hope not though.

I saw an interview of him once with Jim Rome where he said he was trying to do everything that boxing did well, and do nothing that boxing fucked up on. He is making great strives for that, but with a sport like this you need at least ONE good competitor so you are forced to make cards that people are willing to buy on PPV. I personally think that unless DREAM (the company in Japan that replaced Pride recently) really gets steam and fans behind it that UFC will eventually fold cause of lack of interest.

ill watch it in a bit, but honestly i think DREAM should replace the cage fighting for the purpose of exciting the audience. for some weird reason, there seems to be a lot less ground game going on when they're going at it in a traditional style ring rather than a cage. but yeah im sure dana is on top of his shit.

Oh, there is plenty of ground work in DREAM and in what was Pride but it is far more active there cause the refs stand them up much faster.









I will say that I think the Pride/DREAM rules are far better than the UFC. They didn't allow elbow shots above the shoulders and this kept the fights less bloody yes, but also reduced the amount of times the doctors stepped in to stop a fight. Plus, head stomps and soccer kicks are fucking awesome.
