i like them about equally, it's the same game concept with a different style of playing. both amazing games, but for people that have been playing call of duty 4, the new one is like just the same thing with new maps and guns and percs.

The campaign was better I think, but a little short.  I'm not crazy about online right now, it just feels like a huge camp-fest.

Really pretty much nothing new has been added to the gameplay, its got the same engine as mw1/cod5, and it pretty much sucks for pc since no decticated servers and no modding ability.... Not worth a buy imo.

Agreed, but luckly the goombas who use them always crouch, so you can just spring around them and kinfe/shoot them from behind.

when i was not playing online and just multiplayer against my friends we thought the riot shield was hilarious. It is suck a pain in the ass though.

im not digging how balanced they made this game

everything caters to everyone, so its just a big ass random camp fight
MASSIVE maps with such intricate buildings and rooms so you jsut end up running around constantly or just sit camping and get barely any kills because the maps are so fucking big
 

theres no advantage to sniping, to assault rifles, to smg's or anything, its annoying

the kids that I have seen using them have one kid sit in a hallway and another kid sit farther back with a scope and when you go in there to knife them or flash um the other kid takes you out.  The riot shield should fall apart after a while or at the very least you should take some damage.  fuck you can shoot through a brick wall in that game.  There is a reason they changed the riot shield in CS because kids were being so gay with it.

i think that they definitely fixed a lot of issues in mw2 that were issues in mw1, the riot shield is an awesome tool if you can get coordinated with other team mates, the large maps are nice because people camp less, it's also a more rewarding system as unlocks are achieved quicker, however, i do like the simplicity of mw1 in comparison, i don't think any of the assault rifles perform very differently in mw2 (ie m4 performs similary to scar-h)

the key about mw2 is that it is totally customizable with different perks and weapon combos which help even out gameplay over all meaning a person can pick up a copy and after a few hours compete with generals (well almost) which means more people will play online, which means good ratings for infinity ward, i did really enjoy the campaign in mw2 more, more twists and turns, made game play more interesting, spec-ops is a cool mode too

yeah but the remaining characters were weak, ghost was fucking sick, i'll tell you if i EVER see a black ops guy wielding an assault rifle with a skull painted on his mask, i'm the fuck out. I mean price and soap are badass in their own right, but ghost just had a presence, know what i mean?

mw1 was too easy to level. and it got boring after a while you have to admit. i like how mw2 has a bunch of achievments and stuff you can delve into to keep you busy longer, plus co-op was something i wanted on mw1 but they didnt have...i still am only lvl 22 so im hoping the up-coming unlocks will be as good as others say they are.....

i feel like in mw2 i die so much quicker and more often. they made the game way to easy to play. i almost feel like i keep dying from an 8 year old thats playing for his first time. guns have no recoil what so ever, pistol sniping across map, no problem. whole team + riot shields + search and destroy = fucking gay.

im still going to play mw2 but its just fucking stupid right now. so many dump camping spots, everyone just stays at their spawn. also thermal vision + wa2000 sniper = cheap as shit.

Only new thing i really like is the throwing knife. It's fun as hell to mess around with, and i ended up being pretty good at it. Otherwise it's alright. I like the bigger maps but with bigger maps you need more people to support it. I remember when i played COD and COD2 for PC the custom maps would be fucking huge and could host up to 50 players or more, those were fucking intense.

codmw2 is a great game in many ways but yea, mw is better.

mw2 problems:

assault rifles make better snipers than snipes
the maps are often too big
spawn killing
too many kill streaks can be out at once.
kill streaks 8+ should be removed cuz theyre way too overpowered (even though i have 10 nukes)
nigger load of camping
sniping and smgs have been nerfed
too much clutter on alot of maps

i still love mw2 but its simply not as good of a game
i want a mw1:2, mw1 sized and style maps with the same perks, new guns, and the titles accolades and icons ( i like those) and custom kill streaks under 8 kills. theres too much over powering in mw2

I agree with all this. Kill streaks are too overpowered, they need to be nerfed or maybe restricted on how many can be active at once for each team. AR's need some tweaking in terms of range, damage and recoil.

The maps overall are absolutely atrocious, this is my biggest problem with the multiplayer right now. None of them are nearly as sick as maps like District, Crash, Ambush or Vacant were. The fact that the maps are ''balanced'' is actually what's wrong with them, they're too balanced. In MW most maps catered to a certain gun type. Now that the maps are more ''balanced'' you're almost always better off using AR's or LMG's than long range snipers or short range SMG's because they're more universal guns.

Hopefully IW will do something about the maps and the killstreaks.

To anyone that thinks mw2 is a campfest you are right 90% of game-types are, try playing search and destroy, there is very little camping since no one has time to get hunkered down in a corner, it's the only thing i can play without getting pissed and throwing my controller at the ground.

MW2 is pretty much the same as MW1,   just upgraded
new maps, perks, and weapons
ive played about 30hrs online since tuesday and i still cant get enough,  there are so many sick new things such as the heartbeat sensor and the bling  perk.    everything is awesome  (except the one man army perk lol)

halo is harder and takes more skill than either of the modern warfare games.Plus MW is like the exact same as MW2, just the first one is better. But it doesn't matter cause neither game will ever require the teamwork or skill that halo requires.

I like how precise halo is.  If you shoot someone twice with the sniper, they die, if you shoot them in the head, they die.  In COD I shot a guy in the side with the 50 cal and he keeps running?!?!  If they want to be realistic that guy should be in 2 pieces.  I know is a game but there is no reason to use your mic in COD you just camp and rouge around.  In Halo you gotta keep telling people whats going on and it is just way fucking tighter.

On another note I have been dominating some Starcraft.  I love how a game that is 10 years old still kicks the shit out of most of the games they put out today.  Shows that graphics are not everything, at least in that game type.

if call of duty wanted to be realistic they wouldn't use an anti-armor sniper rifle on humans, thats the reason the 50cal is so bad when trying to snipe, it was designed to take down helicopters.

unless you were using the r700 of course...every shot i took with that fucking gun with stopping power and iron lungs would just be a hit and not a kill whereas the m40 is a 1 hit kill 95% of the time

im finding the silencers in mw2 make it really hard to get 1 hit kills, it was annoying to use that just to get the heartbeat sensor, but .50 cal + sensor + thermal = win
