Leonids meteor shower.

Supposed to be happening tonight (New Zealand)
Anyone have any more info on this, like where to look or anything?
Never seen one before, are they cool to watch?

They're sick to watch, try to find a hottub to sit in cause that's just baller

and look mainly in the ski, it should just be appearing all above you, like a bunch of shooting stars

It's obviously gunna be different b/c of time zones but here in pa it's supposed to be good at 1 am and be the best at 4 am... I believe you can just go on weather.com and find out when it's happening for your locations

if you know where the constellation Leo is then look at that. that is the direction they are coming from. in colorado it is pretty late, but it is still going to be sick no matter what

An article I read had a quote from a guy from NASA saying 4 am was prime because the meteors would be highest in the sky, allowing for optimal viewing pleasure.

I considered staying up until 1 or 2 and going down to North Beach, but I decided I like sleeping more.

Went outside for an hour before heading to bed and I saw 2.  One wasn't very impressive, the other was massive and the most impressive meteor I have ever seen.  It started as a huge burst of light that broke in to two pieces, looked multicolored but it was hard to tell cause it happened pretty fast.  Sat outside for another 30 mins and didn't see another so I am giving it up for tonight.  Glad I got to see at least one good one.

i just got back inside. i watched from like 230 to 310, i saw probably 15-20 small-medium ones and 2 huge ones that streaked blue. im so fucking cold right now.

Mis-calc on my part, it's gunna come over tonight. It's supposed to peak in nz at 500/hour. Lame thing is that is at about 9:30 when the sun is up. Apparently it will be 50 or so an hour in the early morning, will that still be cool to watch?

we missioned to a golf course and sparked a blunt and watched for about an hour starting at 4:20am

i saw 4 for sure, and might have seen 3-4 more small, fast ones (or they could have been resultant of the blunt). the best ones were bright streaks across the sky followed by some after-burn resembling a narrow oval with 2 sharp points on either end that fades after a few seconds. one of them had a a reddish glow.
