Heel Bruised

Gunna be honest here, did not searchbar, but I was drunk the other day, and I decided to jump down some stairs and I landed really hard on my left heel. And now I can't put any pressure on it at all, it's just really painful. this has happend before, coming up short on jumps. I have knuckled really hard in the past and it ruins like a month of skiing. I would think that it's bruised but there is no swelling, or discolouration. Also, icing it really doesn't do anything. I've taken a bunch of advil and that helps.

anyways, point is, has this happend to anyone else?

not with the drunken part, but casing a jump yes... my buddy just fractured his heal at keystone, and got a nasty bone bruise on the other so your not alone

I have did the same thing to my heels on a jump. Cased it and got stress fractures in both heels. Juust was told to saty off of them and let them heal. Mine didn't sweal up either but i broke my arm and i didn't sweal. I just barley ever bruise for some reason so idk if u are like me or it just doesn't bruise on the outside?

i have fucked up my heels bad coming up short on a jump when i was younger.

this time it's not nearly as bad. it's feeling better already, but when I was skiing it was honestly fucked up for a month. I kinda thought i'd done worse than bruise, so maybe i did break it. i went to a nurse practitioner 3 weeks in but she just told me not to walk much, she didn't take x-rays so she couldn't tell me what was wrong specifically.

and jumping down the stairs seemed like a great idea at the time. i totally nailed the grab.

happened to me a few years back... cased a jump really bad and fractured my heel bone

dude fuck that shit, i fractured my heel plate or w/e its called. you have a growth plate in your heel, i fractured that while running barefoot drunk at a pool party i had two years ago. i couldnt walk right for like a month or two. it sucked and there are no easy remedies, ice and elevate as somebody above said.

really? fuck. i was hoping that there was some magical cure to be honest haha. i'm a small guy, so changing snow conditions during the day make coming up on jumps a very real possibility. 1 minutes i'm making the knuckle no problem, the next i'm coming up 2 or 3 feet short. and that fuckin sucks

a skateboarders remedy too heel bruises.----ice for ten minutes, heat for ten minutes, ice for ten mintues, and heet for ten minutes.. just keep doin that for a while

this happened to me last season. I had to put in sponges into the heels of my boots and it still didn't feel right or good for another 5 to 6 months.

this happened to me but instead of jumping i kicked someone in the face on accident. the bone was bruised. itll take about 3-5 months to heal if thats what happened to you. take some advil and youll be fine

This exact thing happened to me this fall... it sucks, I think the staircase I tried to jump down was like a 12-14 stair or something. I thought I had broken my heel too, but it just gets really bruised and will hurt for a while. Take it easy and it will go away... at least it did for me after a month and a bit.

when i did it, i cut up a sponge and put it in my shoe haha, it worked but, takes a bit of the edge off walking

A couple years ago I knuckled pretty hard, bruised one heel and splintered the bone in the other according to the x-rays. I took a day off cause it was so bad, but I started walking on regularly within a couple days.
