There were so many threads on PC bases over summer. They are NOT going to not be durable, and on rails they will be JUST AS DURABLE AS S7 BASE(or whatever the AR6 base is). They are also noticably faster, hold wax better, and track better(at least I have found that the base grinds on race bases seem to work better than on the AR6 type base).
I snapped a chronic the last day of the season and got it warrantied(thanks Line!). I honestly didn't like them though, they would be better if core center was at -2 and I mounted there, but i hate having core center at -6. I replaced them with Pipe Cleaners, which I got to ski at hood. By far my favorite park ski out there of what I have skied. They carve better than any other park ski I have tried. The tip is pretty soft, tail is medium, yet they are somehow super stable(I was 170 or just under when I was skiing them, and I never had any though of being un-stable, which I did on Chronics in same length(181, which is like 183-184 on Armadas park skisthough)). I normally like stiff skis, but they somehow have those traits, and are possible to butter(at your weight you'll be fine). Spin pretty easily too. For sure get them, and the bases will be perfectly fine if you're not skiing over skinny jagged rocks. Just keep it waxed and it will never have a mark from a rail. Also, mount -2.5, they still ride switch perfect and will ski better than center for sure.
