East coast powder ski options. Help please

Okay maybe not this season but most likely next season i want to invest in a powder ski even though i am on the east coast. I have looked all around and i really like the line SFB is that a goo choice for an east coast Pow ski? I would really like something thats like a Rockered Bacon. Maybe some 333 skis? i am 5'10-5' 11 about 160lbs these would be for tight trees and choppe dup east coast pow

prophet 100 in a 186 worked for me while i was there 40 inches in a few days at jay. i dont know if i would go any fatter. the prophet is a much better all around stick than the bacon.

i seemed to get by all of my early life on some rossignol cuts, then dynastar concepts and troublemakers.

id say i wouldnt get any rocker because the ice is always under the snow out there it seems and is rarely bottomless. and the bacon i feel would be too soft to get a good grip of the ice.

Soft snow covers the ice, so even on a "pow" day there might be ice.


I have Rossignol S3's for an all mountain ski out west. It would work for a pow ski in the east. Camber underfoot, and rocker at the tips and tails.

s3s look sweet for eastcoast....

i've been rocking some p4's as my allround ski in the alps and they hold better edge and carve better than my park skis....

they're 108mm waist, and rather stiff so they'll still rock on groomers....

This, or kung fujas, they have a little bit of rocker this year. You will float pow fine, especiall for an EC ski

i think i want something a little softer then the blend im not sure though and id really liek some rocker

i have a pair of Surface LL non-rockered. i would say anything without rocker would be your best choice.

I got the obsethed they are perfect i think, they have the perfect amount of rocker for the east and they're tanks they go over everything like it was nothing, and they're fast on the groomers.

Moment tahoes, kung fuja's if you want a litte rocker, 9thward Rory silva pros look sick too, Line blends, Armada ANT or ARV's, liberty helix, surface watch life... I could go on. Point is there are a lot of good skis on the market.

I'd get blends though if it were me.

the salomon shoguns are apparently as good or if not better than the prophet. great on groomers and they have some rocker

Honestly, if you're planning on doing anything more than just riding on them, Try to get a hold of a pair of Moment Planks they're rockered so you can mount them in the middle, but they're not too wide so you can use them wherever.

I rock the Bacons on the east coast and i think there pretty ill in whatever conditions....not the greatest on ice, but there light and turnable in anything else. if you do get em i suggest the griffon binding

just got last years blends to use as my ecpow/tree ski, there antually not that stuff yea there solid but softer than most people on here made em out to be

bingo. they're some of the most versatile skis you can buy. ^ these were mine last year and I am definitely going to be on another pair of the 183 blends this year.
