Do Line Skis measure length differently. I've heard that they only measure the amount of ski which touches the snow. This seems spurious, is it true?

Im pretty sure people are getting confused with K2 because K2 Sports owns Line. I have 178 Anthems and 179 Kung Fujas the Anthems are pretty much true to size although I havnt mesaured them and the k2s are about 184.
As far as I know K2 does use the amount touched on snow as its length, as far as I know Line does not.

i dont know the answer
but your talking about the skis length, and the effective edge
the effective edge is how much edge actually touches the snow, so like the length devoted to your tips or rocker are subtracted from the total length of the ski

Not all Lines run the same, my 166 chronics are probably 10cm shorter than my 171 invaders. I believe the Invaders are measured tip to tail *after* manufacturing, whereas at least the chronics are measured as material length. Also for reference, I have 179 live lifes and they're only a few cm longer than my invaders.. everybody is different, even different ski models are different
All times are Eastern (-5)
