i read the book this past summer and was amazed at the images which it evoked and the story was soo bad ass. the movie looks just as good. i read a Rolling Stone review and it got 3 1/2 out of 4 and he said it was amazing. Im sick of it being delayed!

thought the movie managed to stay pretty true to the book. I liked all the inverted binaries the movie included, especially birth/death where death is shown as painless escape and birth is the violent struggle. Gotta presentation on it tomorrow. Should be illin.

very true to the book, the whole thing just seems so dark and grey. not very uplifting, but a quality film.

just read the book for isu project, was pretty good, made me appreciate stuff a bit more, like no grey snow, even though i still have no snow to speak of, but still. have to write a comparsion essay to oryx and crake which was also pretty good, looking at how the events to shape their environment occured, if anyone could explain how the world in the road gets to how it is, it would be much obliged, but it needs to be in the book :) kinda want to see this movie too!

you never find out about the disaster and in an interview McCarthy said he had nothing in mind. funny that you've got to do an essay on it with Oryx and Crake cause I had to to read that book for class as well. Dystopian Literature at UBC
