They both are amazing, yea, snowboarders may have a little jump on us, becase it became more well known much sooner, but they aren't the same sport and therefore there is no close comparisons between the two really available,
how can you say 'well skiiings better cause butters are harder on skis,' sure it may be harder, but its different, snowboarders i know can do the most nuts butters, and they're not even that good as snowboarders go.
Point being, in one part a trick may be harder than the other sport, but the other sport may be able to do more with this one trick, you cant say that one is better than the other, they are incomparable in terms of trick progression,
But snowboarding has much more time to develope jibbing, park etc. wise and has more people doing than what we do, so they have had more time to focus on where snowboarding is going.
This is the one way snowboarder kills us right now,
everything they do is more refined, more perfected.
Skiing is already headed that way, with this style movement, which is great for the sport.
But it wont go on forever, people will begin to look at another way to set their skiing apart from others, ie creativity or whatever.
Both are sick,no one in their rigth mind should deny
