Curious about a Biggie Smalls line

aight im sure you've all heard his hit" Juicy" probably one of his most famous songs (here is a link to the lyrics for the n00bs http://lyricsmania.com/lyrics/biggie_smalls_lyrics_14925/other_lyrics_44128/juicy_lyrics_477862.html).

I was bored thinking about life today and realized, Biggie states " Now I'm in the limelight 'cause I rhyme tight, Time to get paid, blow up like the World Trade."  now Biggie died in march 9th, 1997 and the world trade blew up November 11th, 2001. please explain its driving me crazy!

if this seems pointless just end the thread after someone tells me whats up.

he probably meant that the world trading system was blowing up, if i remember right, there was a recession in the 80s and into the 90s

I wondered the same thing, thought it was just maybe prescience on Biggie's part. I doubt he would get away with that line now, or if he would even write it now, too freighted. It's an example of how art can change or take on a different meaning with time.

woah chill on the hate man at least i care to ask, i wasn't born here either so its not like i dont know history facts about "my country" it also wasnt a huge event, there is bombings probably everyday around the world. thanks for the history lesson guys I'm glad I asked.
