they have butter zones and they have more flex.
if you aren't planning on huge jumps afterbangs are nice and they are 350.really flexy and i have heard they are awesome to jib with.
afterbangs sound like a terrible idea in general. they have NO sidewalls at all! how would they ever hold an edge on ice out here in the east? and this kid is like 6'2'', while the longest afterbang made is what, a 177? just a little on the short side... besides, they look way too flimsy to do anything other than rails. i'm not liking how the afterbang sounds. now the chronics on the other hand, they seem more realistic. there 85 mm underfoot with sidewalls, but on the stiffer side. they will be much more forgiving to him while hes getting into skiing this year
i like the sound of the afterbang and the chronic. im trying to decide what one to get. i also dont ski huge skis.afterbangs sound like awesome jib skis to me but chronics are a bit lighter only thing you cant do on the chronic is butter.
From what I understand, like Zump said, the 'bangs have no sidewalls..? That sounds so fucking sketch
