Skiing The After Years

So. I'm looking to go to a college school with tons of skiing in it. Can anyone tell me a GOOD but CHEAP school  in the west( with a good business or medical program). Like Boulder University is sort of out of the question because its 40 G's And U of Utah is good because its only 17 G. My parents are being super gay about me going to a college far away (i live in chicago) especially if its for skiing. They think im just going there to ski and waste my time and not achieve anything. So ignorant. So im looking for a good school and persuade my parents to let me enjoy the next 4 years of my life because who knows if anyone has time to ski after college. +kk for quality answers.

Andy just go to UW Milwaukee and chill with whoever's left of thirdward lol. Andy, we don't ski here because its good skiing, we ski here for the people and the environment. Skiers in the midwest are NOTHING like skiers out west. If you want a indepth explanation ask brian or anyone in thrdward

u of utah seems like that best option. you could try the east though.

Colorado state is 10K less than boulder but def look at scholarships and whatnot. there are a lot of ways to bring that big price tag down so don't compromise on where you get your education. some schools force you to stay in the dorms your first year and that costs a lot more $$$ than getting a cheap apartment call admissions offices and find out what they require. the other option is go to school close to chi and then pick a grad program that pays you for the schooling out west. most hard sciences pay $20k+ a year to their grad students on top of waiving tuition. i'm a chem grad student and my program also has good health insurance($300 max out of pocket including x-rays and stuff) which comes in handy when you f*** yourself up in the park. you'll get to ski and end up with a masters/phd which will get you a job and more money to buy more ski stuff. good luck

U of Nevada Reno, Montana St. U, Portland St., Western Washington U, CU Davis... sorta, St. John's NM?

just off the top of my head... now research for real, youll have plenty coming your way in either of those programs.

yeah UNR.... i dont know how their classes are, BUT you can't beat the convenience of how close they are to everything....

Mt. Rose- 35 min. away
Squaw, Alpine Meadows- about an hour
Heavenly- Probably an hour and a half.
