Ok, sucks that you failed out... But really, you said it yourself, you partied too hard and it is your fault.
I get that its a tough program. But you chose a serious career path and didn't take it seriously. Usually I would say everyone deserves a second chance, but you dont. You clearly picked the wrong thing if you didn't have enough respect for the program to take it seriously. Figure out what you really want to do with your life and dont make commitments until you know for sure.
Hopefully you will figure that out. I took 4 years of college to figure out what I want. Now i have this degree that I will never use but I had enough respect for my school and myself that I at least tried. And now when I apply to graduate school for something entirely unrelated to my program, there is a good chance I will get accepted.
Take some time, figure your stuff out. Apply to the best universities that you think will take you based on the fact that you already failed out of 1 program. It will be harder, but it is doable. I don't recommend Xray tech again though unless you are willing to give up just about every bit of happiness to get through the program.
i agree, but IMO this outside of the classroom education can be acheived to a much higher degree without spending $20,000+ a year in college. not saying that college is useless because it definately isn't- it's just not for everyone, and i think it's important to take a step back from the "happy train" of junior and senior year when deciding if or what college you wanna go to.
