Yesterday at Fernie Alpine Resort there was a Avalanche with two people involved, both survived
The red circle is where the two victims were when the slide was triggered
I had been skiing that day and skied a run directly below the avalanche, about an hour earlier, we dug a pit and noticed a thick crust layer about 20cms down and a very weak layer under this.
Not awesome conditions for where these people decided to go. They went any way .
Following this, upper management made the decision to not allow any people to hike up and ski the slopes untill opening day.
yeah yeah, "they cant just say you cant hike the hill!!" blah blah blah, still sucks
I felt like ranting since there is twenty beautiful CMs of snow, no school on Wednesday and i cant go ski it
* idiots cause avalanche, no one else allowed to hike the hill*
