Which rail? +K for help!!!

I am building a pvc double barrel rail for the winter and am wondering if it would be better to have one 16 foot rail or two 8 footers. the advantage to the 8 footers would be being able to make diffrent setups... but we are also not sure if there will be a gap between the two that will require us to jump over it.... which one would be better? PLUS KARMA FOR GOOD HELP!!!

2 8 footers. As long as the second is just a touch lower you can just use it as one long one if you want.

Definitely the two 8 footers.  Just make sure the second one is lower (doesn't matter how much lower really, just lower.)  You can do this many ways, from making slight changes in the construction of the rail or just by pounding one rail into the ground or digging a small hole for it...

Anyways make the two rails, you won't regret it

definatly 8 footers they will be easier to move if you want to in your car.. or you can make better set ups with ups and downs. i have a 10 footer bigger would be a hassel

this guy knows whats up......  2 8 footers would be ideal because of transportation problems and storage issues.  like the guy said before, make sure one is a little lower then the other so you dont flip.

i would say go with 2 TEN foot rails.  one because PVC usally comes in 10 foot sections so you could use the whole pipe  insted of having 4, 2 foot peices sitting around.  plus that gives you an extra 4 feet of rail total when theyre connected.  when connecting them just make the first one slightly higher than the second one.  just throw a board or something under the last leg.  but definitly go two rails, wayyy more potintial than one long straight rail and wayy eaiser to handle

make it in a way so you can bolt the two rails together so you could have a solid long rail or two short ones

most definitely 2 rails. there are many viable ways you can simulate one 16 footer, but just make sure you position the second rail a little bit below the first so you don't catch an edge without jumping over it. then you can do all sorts of fun stuff with the 2 8 footers independently!

I had two smaller boxes last year and i just used cinder blocks to make one higher and it worked out well
