I am having trouble coming up with interesting ideas and concepts for an art project that I have to do this week. I was hoping you guys could think of some interesting ideas to maybe get the creativity flowing in my head.
This is the assignment:
For this assignment I would like you to create a scene of trickery of your choice, (I encourage something that interests you, this tends to work best) which is contrived and set up to some degree. Push the image further by manipulating it in the digital lab (your computer) to play a ‘trick’ of sorts, on the viewer. This manipulation can, and works best, when it is subtle and unassuming, but may also be an over-the-top (surrealist-type) manipulation. This may include juxtaposing multiple images together to create one single image, changing lighting situations, proportions, color situations, erasing or adding elements, etc. Be creative and informed in what the image is doing, and be sure to plan your images well. Every choice will be important, so take time to make decisions and experiments with what they mean to the overall meaning of the piece. Title the image.
