VAIL - Witnesses say a man pulled out a gun at a bar and started shooting on Saturday night killing one person and injuring two others. When the shots began, people fled into a nearby restaurant and parking lot.
Vail Police says the shooting was at the Sandbar Sports Grill just before 7:30 p.m. in West Vail.
Police say they have the man who started shooting in custody. His named was not immediately released.
The injured people were taken to Vail Valley Medical Center, one is in serious condition.
A witness, who was in a restaurant next to the Sandbar says a fight broke out in the bar around 7:30 p.m. and that's when a bar regular pulled out a gun and began shooting.
The witness says people ran from the bar, heading to the restaurant. Others who were injured also ran into the nearby Holiday Inn parking lot.
