Tell me big three, what do you ski?

So coming to the Big3 area soon and wanna sound out what skiis people use.

I'm 5 10. 66kg, about 150 pounds. Consider myself to be advanced skiier on groomers. Average in park but looking to rectify that this season. Limited expirience with pow, the downside to Australian ski resorts, but when it's there I LOVE it.

So basically I want a ski which can slay pow, as I understand it is abundant in this area, handle the groomers and crud, make short turns through the trees, but still give me a bit in the park. A lot to ask but I'm sure I'm not the only one who's ever wished for this, and i figured this would be a good place to start asking because you guys will obviously know the conditions, but I might post in gear talk aswell. I've looked at the on3p caylors and they get a pretty good write up.

What do you ski? What do your friends ski? What do you reccommend?

But from what it sounds like you will be doing with them I think instead of the Caylors you should look at the ON3P Jeronimos because they are a more all-mountain oriented ski and will perform fine all over for you, if you don't want to get those you should check out the Line Elizabeths.

ya the jeronimos would probably be a better bet then the caylors. me and my friends ride arv's but you see quite a few people here with seths.

Pretty big ski for resort skiing/park. I've had a pair of Rossi Brigades for two years, use them for everything. A little wide for park (100 underfoot) but otherwise good.

Maybe look at the S4 or S5? Or something similar to that...

You want something 100-105mm underfoot (for pow), nice and stiff (for crud...there's a lot of it) and obviously twinned for park.  Go for a wood core, none of these crappy foam (solomon) cores which suck.  Every major manufacturer has something that fits the bill.  Do your own homework.

I ride VOLKL GOTAMAS and they pretty much own.  They're a bit heavy (not good for multiple rotations), but if that's what you want, get a shitty ski.

Well i was actually looking for the exact same thing in a ski and just picked up the new k2 kung fujas. They will be stable in pow and crud with 95 under foot and early rise in the tip and tail, but will still shred a groomer with camber under foot. They are also supposed to have a lot of pop and be super solid in the park. K2 markets them to be a 50% park ski 50% powder ski so they seem to be a good choice for a solid all mountain ski.

I havent rode mine yet but theres an option for ya, check em out.

because hoj is from canmore. it doesnt matter that all pow at sunshine/ll/norquay is tracked by 9:30 am. just gotta rep the local boys.
