Who cant do straight airs?

Man thats gotta be the hardest trick out there, haha i dont even understand how people do straight airs, When ever i try i just flail and almost die. so props to everyone that can do straight airs

i think its cause st patrics day, so we started drinking at liek 11, and i ran out of beer like 9 hours ago so like 4-5 hours ago i wasnt feeling that good but now im back, so time to make stuiped posts

I'm being completely honest here when I say that I usually get less scared hitting a huge jump with a spin than with a straight air. Straight airs, you're just looking around and seeing how high you are the whole time, but spinning you're focused on something else. But I'm the only person who sees it that way.

It seems like ur in the air longer and when i spin i feel like im goin slower and lower its just a point a reference though and a matter of concentration its a cool effect though!! I like straight airs!

the best idea ever was the one that was diabolicly hatched today at lunch in the hall way of my school. I can't throw straight airs. I never let myself, even first run of the day. There's nothing wrong with them, but I just think I'm at the point where I should at least do a 180 or something instead of just a straight air.

I feel your pain guys, I usually eat it if I go for big straight airs. I always go for my grab too early or something like that and get all off balance and then since I'm not spinning or anything I just have to sit back and wait for the pain

though i love spinning. i must say i absolutely love straight air. not small straight air. but huge air. like a gap or something. just the feeling of being up there. spinning takes that away, there isnt as much adrenaline. the feeling of your stomach in your throat and seeing the ground like 20-30 ft down. damn it feels good

i hate straight airs when the jump is weird and you get all off balance and start rotating a backflip and you have tons of time to think about how much its gonna hurt when you land on your back so you just sit there kicking your legs and waving your arms hoping you can somehow fly and make the landing not hurt but then you land and your stuff goes everywhere and you scramble out of the way cause you know some little kid snowboarder is gonna be coming down the landing any second.

Straight airs are fucking scary especially on big booters because you see how big you are really going.

When your spinning or flipping, everything is just a blur and you land.

yeah, straight airs are def scary over big jumps. And its really annoying to straight air a jump and catch and edge on a landing and then slide for 20 yards and go headfirst into a barrel at the side of the hill infront of 20 people and the ski patrol

I usually straight air over a big jump first, to check speed, but I know what you mean. I flail all over the place and uslually land backseat and tilt one way or the other in the air. Spinning makes me way smoother for sure.

i haven't done a straight air since like the beginning of the season.. i tried a straight air with a grab the other week and i was all flailing and shit and didn't even get my grab.. it's funny shit

I sometimes dont land straight airs because i overshoot the landing, sometimes...

when i just try to jump, i either land too much forward or backwards. when i go fast of the jump, i always land leaning forward and end up bashing my ribs into my kneews, and when i go slow i land slightly backwards almost on my ass. how can i fix this stupid problem? thanks
