I have an 05 Impreza, and I can't stop modding it haha. Gravelsport intake + STI hood is what I'm getting sometime in the next month or so. I'm so stoked, as they're pratically impossible to find, and imo, the best intake you can get for NA subarus. It takes in cold air, yet travels a very short distance to your IM, making it the best choice for both low and high end power. 

And yes, I have supporting mods, as intakes don't do shit on their own. Delta Cams, EL Headers, HFC, and hopefully soon some sort of axleback, and a dyno tune.

I like Subarus lol.

You should read the thread on NASIOC about intakes on MY05-07 no intake on those cars is good. MAF can't read the a/f ratio right in low rpms. Not hating because I have a 07 2.5I but modding NA subarus is useless. No matter how much money you put into them they most likely won't be as fast as a stock wrx even with a lot of mods not to mention it is usually cheaper to buy a stock wrx. But if you like it the more power to you just doesn't make much sense to me.

haha I only run 18.5 peak psi on the VF39. Anyone who thinks a TD04 can take 20+ pounds for very long is high.

Then your tuner is an idiot.  You aren't hitting 250whp on a TD04 at 16.1 psi, I can promise you that.  Still waiting for your rebuttal.  And your link, big deal, still waiting for the IDC% from your tuner on the 500hp STi with the low injectors.

And for the record I am on Nasioc.com and scoobymods.com so....while that doesn't prove anything per se you can look me up if you want, I know what I'm talking about.

Please prove me wrong.  Your tuner sounds like an idiot, telling you that you can run 250whp on a TD04 on an EJ257 and your friend running 500whp on 700cc injectors or whatever it was.  Please I am really waiting for you to prove me wrong with some hard facts.  Logs and IDC%'s minimum if you even know what that is.

i wish i had a gt but i had a 97 legacy postal. it was awesome. i loved it. got like 28-29 mpg and got the car past 275xxx miles on it.

ok you have it all wrong... the best scoobys are the 98-2000 that is the best body style. the wrx sti 22b is by far the best. i find it annoying when people think that their foresters and outbacks are cool. the only way to go is an wrx, its ok if you have a outback or forester, but only old people drive them, i kind of find them insulting to the subby name.

In essence you are saying the GC8 bodystyle.  The 22B is sooo sick, such an awesome car.  I do love the 02-06 WRX though.  I am rebuilding an EJ205 from my WRX after I blew it out and am going to put it in to a 2000 RS GC8 if I can find one for cheap, will be so fun.

its the fuel tank pressure senor emission control somethin (code P0452)...ive tried to get it fixed so many times, and i end up just wasting my money because it comes back on.
the car was in an accident in the rear passenger side (salvaged title, i know, not a good idea) but i couldnt pass up the deal...$3500 w/100,000 miles and everything else was perfect. i think the only performance factor the CEL has is my gas mileage...

any suggestions??

the furthest ive gone is a subaru specialist shop and they had it for a couple days running tests and shit (for all i know they were). they said they found exposed wiring near the fuel tank canister. they fixed that  and said if it comes back on then there could be undlerlying wiring issues. Basically i spent $300 and nothing changed, so im kinda hesitant. At least until i have to renew my emissions test

Hmm ya, I assume they did the obvious first like checking the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor.  Wiring can be pretty hard to find though like you said, probably something that should be fixed before your emissions test if you have them.  I mean I would hope they checked the sensor at least...hard to say what is wrong really.

i dunno why you guys are hating on GLrunner, he knows his shit real well, and i know for a fact has helped ns'ers out with car issues. atleast hes not blabbering complete bullshit like some people who have no idea what they are talking about when it comes to cars..

and so what if he "claims" his car is the shit. it probably is, i claim my car to be the shit and im pretty fucking proud of what i did on my own without having a shop touch it, or my uncles or something doing it for me. it takes alot of effort to swap out a wrx engine and do a rebuild and shit on it, i know because ive done it twice and it was a mother fucking pain.

Haha thanks man, its true there is a great sense of pride in working on your own car, especially modding a Suby and seeing how much fun it is.  Perhaps that sense of pride comes out as arrogance?  Oh well, can't be helped I guess.  I am honestly just trying to help people make their cars have more "1337ness" and stop people from making stupid mistakes due to common misconceptions.


And to Static, the 4EAT WRX is the same AWD as Ken Block's STi as well as all of Subaru's WRC cars.  You can look it up if you want.  It is the best AWD system Subaru makes and it doesn't use the properties of a viscous fluid in a differential heating up to create friction causing torque shifts.  It is all controlled by the tranny and the ECU, meaning it can put torque to any wheel at any time whenever it wants and it isn't limited by initial slip.  This system isn't even in use in the STi, only in the automatic WRX, or the WRX 4EAT if you will.  The only difference between the WRX 4EAT and the WRC MT with automatic torque adjustment is that the WRC car has much more robust internals (for obvious reasons)

Honestly, I bought the car from a good friend of mine about 2 months ago.  At the time I didn't know very much about Subi mods, and really only bought the car because I trust him (wouldn't have bought something this modded without knowing the seller really well), and have been kind of learning as I go the past 2 months.  There's no way I can remember everything... I'll post a complete list of mods later today hopefully, but some of the basics off the top of my head...

lets see some pics! i love sedona red bugeyes. my buddy had one, wrecked it 5 times lmao. he went from bugeye, then swapped the fornt end to a peanut eye, and i guess he sold it for a 350z now...

thing was nasty, 58- whp. fully built.


but yeah you might be running 300to the crank, def not to the wheels, not with a stg2 cobb

yea my brother had a 99 2.5rs that he dropped an sti engine into, that car was so fast, unfortunately he blew the engine doing 140. it had nothing to do with him, a retaining clip was missing on the piston, and it sucked a valve
