I'd go large. It's only 1 inch shorter than last year's XL I think, and XL was already massive then. Everyone says to go super huge, but in reality once it's past the knees you're not going to enjoy the bagginess, and for pants they would probably go a good 6 inches past your toes. It's bigger this year (both L and XL) so I think L would be the perfect fit for you.
