that actually looks extremely useful,

thats pretty sick cause i usualy wear my daytime lens even at night cuase i hate how yellow lenses look. that being said i dont have the $300 to drop on a pair on goggles so im just gonna keep doin what im doin

who the fuck cares about how ugly we think they are, hes allready clearly expressed that hes aiming for the upper class, aspen/vail/ deer valley rich ass tourists....they will like them and they will pay for them

Awesome idea, very much like those old sunglasses they used to make!

i'd definately buy a pair if i had a lot of money or if some cheaper company would produce a similar product....

during the day, the snow would reflect wayy too much light in through the clearer part. i dont really see any purpose in having the upper part darker besides the sunlight, but thats not even the concern, its the snow which is the brightest usually. they look like some dior eurotrash sunglasses or something, so IMO neither the function nor the form is good. especially when they are like $300.

I like how that works, how everyone one on ns (well not everyone) wears crowbars but now the top park skier wears somthing different everyone follows, even though if you found those in the snow at your local resort you wouldnt even pick those up. i still like to see people trying different stuff, nice work jon.

I actually think they look pretty cool, i like the retro sunglass styling. I think the reason everyone is doesn't like them is that they are scared of change. If they ever make an affordable pair with simmilar styling i may consider picking them up.

Bolle makes a photochromatic lens that changes according to light.(if its dark outside the lens gets lighter and vice versa)  They may not look cool but used them a ton last year here in New England where it can go from sunny to black in like an hour.

They don't look that bad.  Sort of an aviator touch, but I agree the design seems shitty.  you've gotta block snow glare.  I'd have to put on a pair before I even thought about buying some

i just think everyone should wear bright pink lenses regardless of conditions, because bright pink lenses make everything look like a whorehouse, and whorehouses are great

I'm going to laugh so hard if I ever see anyone in these goggles
a) the gradient lense thing doesn't make any sense since a ton of the brightness in skiing comes from the reflection off of the snow which is generally beneath your feet
b) they seem like the kind of goggles rich sorority girls would design/wear(which I think is sort of the market he's going for?)
c)$300 for a pair of goggles? really? as if skiing wasn't already expensive enough...

At first, I thought this was going to be a huge failure, but it seems Jon is putting out some nice looking product.

I've always thought these goggles were pretty cool, I'll probably never own a pair but they're cool. That's what I was thinking though. Wouldn't the sun reflect off the snow and go through the bottom, or are we underestimating the eye's ability to adjust?

Ya. i've got a three year old pair of Anon's with the Gradient Lens...can't really say "Introducing"...

On that note, I love that lens, as long as it's not the brightest of bright days, or super flat-light, I wear that goggle.

I dont see how it would work.. the bottom part is clear, OK. but at night the top part is tinted. how does it make you have a better all around vision during the day and at night?? during the day, the point is to block sun light... wont it all come in through the clear bottom part, making it completely useless??

They didn't "introduce" anything.

Gradient tints/coloring has been seen on goggle lenses since the '70s.

Those are ugly as fuck too. I'll spend my $300 elsewhere thanks.

You don't get it people. Jon is selling them to people who will buy them BECAUSE they are expensive. Its not about the quality or function necessarily(which I'm sure they'll have), as much as the brand name. Jon is trying to make designer goggles, and considering how nobody is doing it right now I'd say its going to work out quite well for him.

EXACTLY.

these arent for NS.

I do however really like the aviator and metal look of the frames, the lenses really dont make a ton of sense, but regardless, still a good lookin product, this just isnt the target market.
