So I am all stoked for this upcoming season of skiing and I get my new skis, boots, and bindings, so I am set. Today I found out that I am going to have soccer practices on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons, which are the prime times that I ski every single fucking weekend.  I am in 9th grade, so I can't drive, yet and now at least one of my parents will have to give up their Saturdays to drive me to practice. I am so pissed. I know no one cares and this is a pointless thread, but I felt like I had to write it just to get my jumble of pissed off emotions out. I also feel like a douchebag because I know people on here have injuries keeping them out of skiing, so ++vibes to them, but either way I am thoroughly pissed off.

are you good at soccer?  what teams it for(premier/select team)?  like if its only for your school doing something in the off season i say skip it

I play for a premier team and then we have another team that we get the best kids from the 13's 14's and 15's and play in a select league.
Also, yes, I will ski as long as I can on Sundays.

Do what you like most (skiing during winter I believe?), not like you'll ever end up pro at soccer, there's a million little mexicans that are already better than you, might aswell have fun.

I wouldn't but my coaches came out with a "You must attend at least 80% of all team functions" thing and last year one of our better defenders got cut because he never came to practice.

Are you playing like u15 or u17 cuz if you playing up I would stick with soccer cuz thats legit.

I am not sure what we are doing with the select team this year yet but last year as a 14 I was playing on the select team in a U15 league. This year I will probably be playing in a U16 select league.

i know exactly how you feel, for lacrosse we have indoor practices 2 times a week. they arent mandatory but if you dont go it kind of looks bad.  luckily there on week days but i still missed a couple of skiing days last year. but this year ill have my license for ski season so it shouldnt be a problem.

If you're skiing on Fridays I assume your mountain has night skiing. So then go on any other weekday. And don't bitch about not having a ride up, I'll bet you can bus to your mountain no problem.
