Ok, actually having read this now your friend is an incredibly religious leaning individual that needs to understand that being homosexual isn't a choice thing and it is biological.

He also needs to get out of the Dark Ages on the fact that everyone has sex essentially because, IT IS FUN AS HELL!! That has predominantly taken over as the social structure has allowed people to be more able to have sex when they want. Tell him to read a book other than the damn Bible.

The fact that we don't care and you do care is meaningless unless you're actually doing something about it in the real world. Just saying you care and typing like crazy on NS doesn't accomplish anything. If you do actually devote your time and effort to solving this problem then I made an unfair accusation.

ive gone to a rally or two, but now that im in montana, not so many gay rallies... hmm wonder why lol
and i try and raise awareness in real life by talking about it.


its not the fact that hes not making an effort that bothers me, its his lack of opinion on the matter at all. you should never not care about something as important as a persons rights and happiness. thats like me saying, i dont really care if black people can get married or not, whatever. kinda fucked up imo

i never said his opinion was wrong, but when he calls people who oppose gay marraige bigots, and he himself is saying that supporting gay marraige is the only right choice, some may consider that hypocritical.

I was just trying to get alittle intelligent conversation started, but apparently I came to the wrong place.

On that note I will go away, I have got enough out of this thread.  Thanks again Arabian, for thinking before you post.

You are a fool.  There are certain standards that the people of the US hold themselves, too.  Such a referendum would never pass because, plain and simple, no one agrees that jews shouldn't get married.  It's a minority viewpoint, just like the view that homosexuals should marry in Maine.

Arabian has sent me about 10 personal messages calling me an idiot - i told him that I would have a Moderator on him if he didn't stop - and then the last thread i posted an opinion that everyone disagreed with, was called a troll (Arabian also told me that I was not allowed to post, again of course) and it probably won't be the last time that people hate what I post.  I'm ok with that, but what others don't get is that they just can't stand that i have a different opinion.
