Your real college doesnt mean all real colleges.
At my school C+ is generally thought of as a decent grade.
My school publicly advertises that a B here is like an A anywhere else. And gradschools do view it that way as well.
It is a science based university though with top degrees being in engineering, animal science, agriculture and business. So our education system is a lot different than most universities making it more difficult to get A's and B's.
So don't assume that every college is like your college.
I got a C+ in advanced genetics for bio majors as a non bio major. I was damn proud considering the class average was in fact a C.
My final in my forensic anthropology class (essay final) was 8 pages single spaced. I got the highest score in the class with a B+
Different schools, different standards. No need to act superior. His C+ could have been in freshmen communications and he could have just not cared. I failed freshmen history my first time because I forgot to set my alarm for my midterm.
If you don't care about a class, you don't care.
