dude that soooo shitty. i feel like snow should compensate for everything. get you a new pair of skis and bindings. and free mount. actuallly i feel like by law they have too...
^Ha from the stories i heard, snow country was when everyone was just shitfaced.
Wow that sucksss dude. I would just go back to the store and tell them whats up, cause it's not like you're being picky at all. Only thing better would have been if you caught all this at the store before you brought them home.
Hoping for this X 100000000000
I called them and they said "We will have the mechanic straighten it out?!" whatever the hell that means. i just don't want snowboarders on my skis... thats the only contingency. I'd almost rather get store credit and get some chronics or abangs. We will see, we will see. Maybe i'll go in all jolly and turn into an asshole if they give me a hard time. So do any of you work there so they could get a little attention from the manager or something...Thanks, now we wait
I mentioned something to the guys in the shop today. When you go back please don't be an asshole, as long as your clear with everything we understand what's going on and I've always seen the managers make things right, whatever what the situation was...cause crap like this has happened before. To put it lightly..we have to make things right unless we want our asses to get sued.
ok thanks... it's not like i want to be an asshole but if they're giving me a hard time about a pair of brand new skis and boots that a brought from them, then i will be pissed. But ya thanks.
If it were me I would be a dick, its just plain ridiculous that something like that happened. they are a professional shop. They get paid to do that an are expected to do a excellent job. It isnt that difficult to mount a pair of skis. the jigs basically lay everything out for you, granted you have to do some figuring to find the center or where every they want the bindings mounted at. The thing that gets me with this is that they drilled the ski an messed it up an did not tell kevin that they fucked up.
Yea dude the second set of holes is soooooo screwed up. I'm just saying granted when kevkev shows ski co or snow what happened theres no reason to be a dick about it, cause they have no choice to make things right. And as far as the jig thing...i'm almost positive we don't have a jig for the bindings that kevkev got mounted on his skis. Thats what is tough about mounting up skis for bindings that weren't bought at the store, cause sometimes we don't have the jig for it. One of the reasons its cost stupid $ to get stuff mounted up if you didn't buy it from the store.
Yea I hear ya. Its so lame thought, pretty much everyone I know, every year has some sort of trouble at any shop. No matter what everyone dosent seem to understand center of a ski. Every year I always have to get my gear re mounted bc they always screw it up somehow. I said fuck it an mounted my bindings myself this year. Real legit too. Ive got all the necessary equipment to do so. So if anyone wants there bindings mounted right for the first time let me know.
yeah nothing you can really do about it, park skiers are a minority anyways, majority of stuff mounted is just a system binding. i still trust a tech mounting my stuff more than i trust myself mounting me skis though.
All depends, If you have the right stuff to do it than its pretty straight forward. But there again its also a plus having someone that does that shit day in an day out do it.
Yeah definitley. But at the end of the day i would much rather have the option of blaming someone else on my skis being mounted wrong than me mounting them wrong and being s.o.l
