Camera Backpack? +Karma!

Im looking for a good backpack to take with me on the hill that can carry my camera gear (D40, 2 lenses, tripod) and is still pretty compact and low cost, any ideas?

dont know how you feel about Burton stuff but I bought the burton Zoom bag from their summer sale for pretty cheap and I like it alot. Havent used it skiing yet but it will hold. D700, 50mm, fisheye, two sb-25, 75-300, alien bee strobe head. in the papped area and it has plenty of room for stands and extras all over it.

F-Stop Backpacks are perfect. Designed for action sports photographers and are incredible. Just do some searching for them.

Definitely check out f-stop's line of bags. I have a dakine sequence and it's definitely been a decent pack, but I really like the look of some of the new stuff f-stop is coming out with.

I owned a Burton AK Zoom pack for 2 or 3 years, and it was an amazing pack. Definitely check out the new ones. They are definitely on the larger side with the new models, but not by THAT much.

F stop is cool, but their backpacks are rather large for your needs.

this Dakine pack is relatively small, but still large enough for your d40, an extra lens or two, tripod, and some strobes. It'll also fit a bit more gear as you acquire it, and there's still enough room for an extra layer or climbing skins.

Really? I must not know how to navigate their website then, the smallest *backpack* I can find is 45 liters, not exactly a small pack. They have smaller cases listed, but the Tilopia is the smallest backpack they have under products.

i just got the dakine reload. It's super sick, has great waterproofing and is big enough to hold my canon 40d, my hmc -40 and then some. If I wasn't carrying a dslr and a 3 chip video camera i would probably go with the smaller version tho.

I have the  newest satori and its LARGE ahha very big i got 50mm, 50-150, 17-35mm, 18-55mm, a spot for accessories, and another free spot that could fit another 50-150/55-200mm. This all fits in there with my d700 and any of those lenses attached while in the bag. and thats just the camera compartment.

I really like this bag. It's easy to use, fairly compact and an all-round solid camera bag. I'm not sure if you can carry a tripod on it, but I do know that there is a metal loop on the back that you probably could hook on your tripod if it has a clip on it. I'm not sure on the price either, maybe around 100$.
