Tahoe or utah in mid january?

Both are sick, as far as weather goes it really is a coinflip, Either one of those places could have 3 feet new while the other has no new in 2 weeks. Look at weather patterns and try to get an idea of where more snow is predicted to fall during that time frame, although forecast are not very accurate at all. Both great places, and in Utah there is access to more resorts in shorter distances. Tahoe though, if you are old enough, nights you can hit Reno and even North Lake Tahoe and have some pretty good nightlife. Utah did recently get rid of the bar "memberships" though I believe, someone from Utah will have to chime in on that.

im trying to head out to utah in january. the sheer selection of awsome mountains near slc is ridiculous, and havent you heard? worlds best snow!

if your looking on straight quality of skiing and variety of skiing then go utah but if your looking for an all around good time go tahoe for night life some good bars and alot more stuff near bye

i have an id and my boy  ill be going out with is 22 so night life would be cool but its not a top priority, id fly into reno if i went to cali, about 30 mile to skiing? any ways to get there besides renting a car becasue thell blast us with charges for both being under 25 same with utah?

i live in slc and there is plenty of night life. It isnt tahoe by any means, but there are fun bars, a bunch of decent music, and the alcohol laws dont make any difference. I still get plenty fucked up

i have never been to utah, the only time i went to tahoe its snowed 10 feet of unusually light sierra snow and i was trapped at kirkwood for 2 days, which was not a bad thing in this case b/c eventually the whole mountain opened up

utah is terrible. the mormons just ruin it
