Theres nothing hyphy about Scott

I know Wallisch gets paid very well now, and deserves every single penny of everything he does for our sport.  But the last company I want to see on the best park skier of all time is Scott.  I already know, I am a hater...

Oscar Harlaut used to ride SCoTTs before he siged with armada this year, just lik Henrik before he switched to armada.

And yeah, Lolo Favre rides Scott.. and he is HYPHY as shiiit!

hate it or love it, tom wallisch is considered by most people "hyphy" and "gangster" i don't think scott is hyphy or gangster at all...when i heard he signed with scott i thought to myself...when has scott ever made a good park ski?

aright i am sooo sick of people that are sayin the name SCOTT is super gay.  HOW THE HELL IS IT GAY?!  i mean, what makes a name uncool?  seriously, WHO CARES WHAT THE NAME IS!  if a company makes quality products but has a somehow "not hyphy" name, is that a reason to hate?  oh ya, and everyone needs to STFU about this retarded "hyphy" business.  anyone that truely appreciates skiing for what it is will agree.

not trying to start a fight but i agree with the fact that scott isnt good and i dont like anything from them. but who cares if wallisch rides for them. maybe he likes them. everyone worships him way too much. dont get me wrong i really like him, but its his choice who he rides for and it didnt really change him at all.

Are you fucking kidding me here? The only reason I wear tallish fitting clothing (or anyone really for that matter) is because I feel it looks better than tight fitting clothing. There has never been a hyphy aspect to skiing, as stated above, we are all white and don't have any gang relations at all. Keep gang shit to the cities, and keep the fun and good looking shit to the mountains

I've never seen this thread before. I LOVE Scott.

I was weary about them as a company because i have always been loyal to the "freeski" companies. But i have been exposed to their gear so much in the last two years and you cannot ignore their quality, style, and functionality.

I'll admit I don't know much about Scott skis. I didn't even realize Scott made skis til Tom was sponsored by them. What I do know is they are very colorful and pretty ha! I know I"ll be getting a pair of his signature goggles tho.

your super duper wrong . 99.9 % of skiers are white middle to upper class. Not that many broke, i.e. lower middle class, poor ppl. go skiing. It has and always will be a sport for the ppl. with disposable income. Get real. And zip up your jacket. Scott rules.

While I can't deny your argument, this isn't anybody we're talking about, it's Tom Wallisch. Since he is one of the (not only, so I don't get accused of gargling) most celebrated and recognized athletes in our sport, I can't imagine there would be a single self-respecting ski company that WOULDNT want him on their team.

The fact of the matter is that he could ride for any ski company he wanted, providing his rep wasn't inept. The issue here is: "why scott?"

+k to the OP for bringing up a good point. Scott is a legit company, but not one I would like to see arguably the best park skiier riding for -- I'd prefer Salomon or Line based on their current freestyle teams. Not that my opinion matters at ALL though.

Sorry for not explaining that enough. I always remember Scott as a race oriented company cause i had their race gear when i was a little fella. By freeski companies in the terms of back in the day (what i was going for) I meant my old gear which was Siver Cartel, Oakley, Line, Liberty, the Rossi and Salomon original twins and the like. Just how it was marketed where i live.

I would say I agree with this.  Scott just seems like a very bland and unintersting brand who doesn't try very hard to be appealing to the customer.  Just my opinion.
