Theres nothing hyphy about Scott

I know Wallisch gets paid very well now, and deserves every single penny of everything he does for our sport.  But the last company I want to see on the best park skier of all time is Scott.  I already know, I am a hater...

Oh, and yeah, SCOTT  may be one of the lamest names ever, but who gives a shit. There´s a lot of dumb names in this industry. Personally, I´ve never tried any of their gear but at least some of their goggles look sick, and if Wallisch can slay on their sticks for more $$, then nice going. HH has also been reppin their shit for some time without anyone bitching.

THE ONLY problem anyone should have with this, is their retarded issues with ON3P, witch in my mind, is one of the dopest companies out there.

Scott has been in the Ski Scene since the very beginning and they have kinda fallen out of the spotlight, at least with this crowd since they did not adapt to the park scene to keep up with Newer almost pure park companies, but back in the day every pro skier was sponsored by Scott. I am glad to see them repping a sick skier like Tom, maybe it will bring them back in the spotlight, and with Toms insight maybe start producing some new products that are up to NS standards.

for real dude, i had scotts for two years and abosolutely loved them. they make sick skis that were (at least in my case) incredibly durable and sick in the park, they kinda killed it everywhere

but like everyone else i dont like the whole deal with on3p

Just that there's nothing wrong with Scott.  Legit as hell company that has been core for probably 50 years.  They have always been innovative, and put out some of the best product.  I'm stoked that Wallisch is riding for Scott.

I would still like to see Wallisch on a company like Armada, core rider based.   Not saying that SCOTT is a high corporate company, but I get more of a "hyphy" feeling knowing that companies like Line, Armada, 4frnt, etc.. are getting the top names in the biz, and are providing their riders with what they need.  I guess they just cant dish out the $$ and perks.

ok so i just watched the alli show freeski episode with wallisch again and while i was watching i realized something, tom signed with scott only a few days ago but in the episode that came out weeks ago and was shot last summer, he is wearing scott goggles, and using scott skis? so i was wondering, whats up with that? how is he wearing scott stuff last summer when he only signed with them a few days ago?

i wouldve maybe used another word than hyphy, but i kind of get what the OP is talking about. scotts may seem lame now, but with wallisch on their team theyre going to get a lot of exposure. just look at what he did to amplid. i still hate the whole on3p thing though

i have never ridden a pair of scott skis but i have had goggles and poles by them and never been disapointed in quality other than buying their cheap poles to see them only last a year but hey 20 bucks no big deal. ive use same pair of goggles for years now because they are sick and hold up with no problems.
someone should expain y scott is so bad they put money into our sport year after year and make good stuff

i know the lawsuit is ridiculas but hey seems to be the season for that

I dunno, it's weird they are there.  I was looking for a pair of park skis and found some Scott ones on the Scott website, then I passed out and woke up and my firefox was on the ON3P site and they had magically started carrying Scott skis, AND, apparently Scott started making pow skis too, weird how they would ONLY offer them on the ON3P site though.

Scott makes a quality product, has good warranty. Their product isn't very progressive or in my book, I think scott makes good poles, but besides that they don't do anything special to deserve my hard earned cash. I'm all for Twall riding for Scott, because he could bring some steeze to a relatively boring company IMO. I know all you NS kiddies would jizz your pants if Scott made a T-wall pro model. So let him enjoy his hard earned success.

p.s. Tom is just a normal guy who happens to shred pretty hard. stop idolizing him, it's creepy.

My first thought when I read the news story about Scott picking up Tom, was excellent!

In the same night, I read your forewarning to your customers that you might have to change the name.

For me, after the following the WME debacle each step of the way, it was easy to see how a big company can screw themselves.   Freakin bloodsucking attorneys who get paid for their advice, good or bad.

WME lost a ton of potential goodwill from a younger markets exposure to its namesake, why? because the attorneys have blinders on. They aren't in touch with marketing what-ifs? They think they are protecting name. Corporate heads whose ears get bent from those attorneys are also out of touch and likely only concerned about their bottom line. Hell I bet if you asked an attorney about lost sales as a result of their actions they wouldn't care. These guys get stuck in principle  anyways..

Scott?  Same thing, The Great Scott name comes up. Does anyone here really think that the attorneys are aware that the Ski isn't even printed with the word Scott? That the owners name is Scott or that you can only get it from the ON3P website?  Well if they don't know that, they certainly don't know anything about Twall and NS and the resulting fall out that is happening.  Its not rocket science. It's idiot attorneys and corporate greedy outa touch money grabbers causing this crap. Not the people you actually see and deal with. Cut them some slack..

In short,  I hope ON3P retains the name and makes Scott pay them to change it. I hope all are smart enough to realize that with Toms input, we can expect some better products from Scott in the future and that is a good thing for everyone!

this is dumb-= lets see - what would you choose- a company that will pay you steadily- hook you up with the flyest shit- promote your career in skiing- or some backass ski company thats core-and what is core, you don't make enough money to support a growning business so that makes you hood and a trendsetter- lets be real here- everyone these days builds skis- i personally would take my job security over hyphy- and who says that scott cant be hyphy- when was the last time you focused on the skis wen he was riding-
