Best resorts in Tahoe?

Ok well this winter were going to tahoe and going to three mountains. So fare were thinking heavenly and northstar but idk about the thrid mabey squawn valley. if anybody has any reconmondations about tahoe please share it on this thread. ++++++++k for helpfull posts

Regionals. They will help alot more.

I live in truckee and the funnest park resorts are boreal (#1 for everything) Northstar for jibs...there jumps are honestly terrible, alpine and squaw for jumps.

and for actually skiing the mountain Heavenly is big and has alot of diverse terrain and squaw and alpine are real fun to.

I'm going to tahoe for my first time this year and I've decided to stay at Squaw. 

Northstar seems to have the best park, at least people on NS think so.  Kirkwood is I guess good for pow days, my buddy who lives up there says it has lots of drop offs and such.  He works at Heavenly and even he says its like the worst resort up there.

o an one more thing im from the east an im mainly going for the mountain an not necesasalry for the parks so im not that worried about the parks as much as the mountain

PARK:
1. Northstar
2. Boreal
3. idk probavly squaw

ALL MOUNTAIN:
1. squaw
2. Mt. Rose
3. I would go with alpine meadows

Ah yeah, I forgot about that place.  Grew up skiing there, got bored of it by the second year, and started hitting the sketchy sidecountry with no back country knowledge.  I was a ten year old kid hitching rides on Mt. Rose Hwy.  I don't think my parents ever guessed as to why they couldn't find me on the hill.


But seriously this time:
Squaw is sick, but has a lot of hype.
Alpine is sick, but is getting expensive.
Kirkwood is the shit, but its far away from everything.
Sugar Bowl is pretty tight.  I would check that out.
And Northstar, a.k.a "Flatstar" has a pretty good park, but otherwise sucks.

What sort of stuff do you like, park, steeps, powder?

Northstar for the park. Not my thing, but they're pretty well-known for the quality of their features.
Kirkwood for freeriding and powder and the crazy steep stuff, my personal favorite place in the region.

Not a fan of Squaw, but it has nothing to do with the terrain, which is amazing. I'd add to that the terrain at Sugar Bowl and Alpine.

Heavenly is great for trees (so is North*), and also the views of the lake, which are quite stunning. Probably the only place where you can ski from one state to another.

Homewood is a nice secret. I took my first lesson there.
