Replying to My goggles got JaKed

so I bite my lip pretty badly so I go to the partol to get some stitches. During the time I was getting stitches in a different room and my brand new 90 dollar goggles where stolen. Now I have told them that since the goggles where under their supervision and inside the medical clinic I think they should re-imbers* me for the goggles or have the shop give me a new Pair because if I where there then I would have watched them but since I wasnt it was their reponsibility.....am I right or should I just go on?
