Stock footage

does anyone have any stock footage? I just got vegas and I want to start playing around with some editing things but I don't have any footage haha. It doesn't have to be good, and it could be of anything.

I personally think editing footage that is not yours, especially if you're tryin to learn is going to teach you nothing and isn't as fun. Having your own shots to edit, you filmed each shot a certain way (hopefully) to edit in a certain way. I think the way you film a shot is very influential on how it is edited.

agreed, but i can understand where hes coming from, with a new program and nothing to edit.

you can go on vimeo and download some stuff there to edit

Not really true!! do you think that professional film and tv editors  always work on the shoot. watching through Rushes and making notes etc can achieve a decent edit. Plus if he is just looking at stuff to play around with i don't think the content or outcome are that important
