Why is KFC rediculously expensive?

I left for lunch today because I leave every friday with some buddies. (we are juniors so we are not aloud to leave or else we would be leaving alot more) Anyways, none of us had been to KFC in a while. KFC and Taco Bell in my town are adjoined so they are in the same building. We always get taco bell and never really thought of KFC. So we all decided to order KFC.

I get:

Large Popcorn Chicken
Large Mashed Potatoes
Small Drink

=

$11.65

are you fucking serious?

that's alot for what you get with that. I can get a better meal for 7.01 at burger king. fuck KFC, keeping away from that place for a while.

Umm KFC is known for there chicken and there isnt very many other chicken fast food companies out there so they can put the prices how ever they want because there is no one to compete with,, and people will pay if thats what they want

Not where I live. Bojangles is another fast food chicken chain and its a million times better. KFC has good taters though.

my uncle drinks the gravy from kfc. he straight up takes the gravy bowl, puts it in front of his mouth and chugss it. nastiest thing ever.

KFC does have no competition. My neighbor owns a KFC joined with an A and W, best food/drink combo ever, Chicken and rootbeer. His KFC does really well, but the people that work there are shady as hell

Cause they make the chicken in Kentucky and then ship it through a crazy teleportation device to the place you ordered it from. The cost is so high to pay for the maintenance.

Because their business model is failing. I assume they are having trouble competing BK and other fast food. So now they charge money for less food in hopes of keeping their profit reasonable.

when they had the value box things I could go there and get a small popcorn chicken, drumstick, fries and drink for under 5$ then use my change for candy at the dollar store next to it. it was surprisingly filling

you gotta know how to work the menu, you cant just go in ordering large everything. you have to make yourself a cheap little meal.. ie: twister combo wrap, small mac cheese, small soda, itll be like $7

you got to get the bowl which is all that stuff combined plus more for like 5 bucks.
also, never buy a drink at fast food places, just get a water cup and fill it with whatever, you got to learn how to cheat the system.

There is a triple threat in Bridgewater MA.  KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut.  You can order from all three at one counter, thats a chicken chalupa, drumstix, mashed potatoes, and bread sticks.  Pretty much the best thing ever.

I knoiw it's pretty irrelevant, because it's not really similar to KFC, but if you feel like chicken, there is only one choice- Chik-Fil-A. Shit's fucking delicious. I just had some, and damn. It actually taste's real and it's the perfect size meal. The criss-cut fries kick ass too.
