Paying in change?

i got a 52 $ ticket for going over a stupid fucking double line the other day and im pretty much broke. so i gathered all the change from my car and my room to pay for it. am i allowed to do this or are they going to tell me to pay some other way?

cash is legal tender for all debts, public and private

so as long as its legal tender, then yes you can do that

yeah they cant say anything about it i wouldnt think unless if they had a sign, Just go to the bank and cash it in, its like a 2 dollar thing. If your broke why do you have 52 dollars in change?!

i actually only found 42.60 lieing around. so im just going to get a 10 somewhere. and i dont really want to pay 2 $ to cash it in. i guess i could separate the coins in different bags though so theyll be less pissed off

i just found a otn of pennies in this jar that we have at home. only problem is its mixed with american and canadian pennies. is she allowed to denie it cause its not canadian currency?

alright so i got like 9.50 in pennies. i definitely have enough nickels and dimes to cover the rest. i think im going to filter out all the american ones just so it doesnt backfire haha

it was the morning so it was super sunny out so i couldnt read the sign for the exit until the last second. if i wasnt so blinded i wouldve spotted the cop right away

My dad got a ticket for parking his car in a snowplowing zone in the street. It was in Pasadena, Ca.

He payed his ticket with pennies. (he actually went to the bank and changed to money to get pennies or some stuff like that)

Police dudes had to count his change... I think it was something like  70 bucks.

True story, he's not badass like that anymore though
