America isn't a great country.Sure we have the most freedom and all this shit, but we also have the most fire arm deaths, one of the ONLY 3 countries to have the death penalty, and the most hated country in the world, why do you think 9/11 happened and the madrid bombings, also to have an arrogant and ignorant president doesnt help the way people look at us. To have a UN weapons inspector go on national TV and say that we had no true info that they had that just proves that bush is a liar, hoax, and a bad representation of the american way of life

Only a hardcore american cult would have a ''fag list''... by the way, America is far from the most free country in the world; it's not even the most free in north america. I've always said the the freest and probably best country in the world is switzerland... as long as you can afford to buy stuff, cause it's expensive.

^The cost of living is high, but accessible to just about everyone, and even the lower classes of society get on better than they do on this side of the pond. You pretty much never see vagrants, it's amazing. And the place is so CLEAN! I might just move there...French/Swiss Alps...Damn right. Utopia...

I think freedom is hard to fully classify. Switzerland is dope, but maybe not neccassarily the freest. (word?) Canada and Switzerland have for quite a few years until recently, been battling it out for the UN list of top countries to live in, if you believe in that sort of stuff. Interestingly enough, the last time it was released the States beat Canada, but I cant remember where Switzerland was.

Like I already said, freedom is hard to classify straight up. At times in Switzerland you have to apply to paint your house a certain color and things like that. There is a bomb shelter in EVERY dwelling, and going into the Army is mandatory at 21, for 6 months now I believe. I think it just changed from a year. At this time farmers are also not doing so well. I find it to also be quite crowded. At the same time they often have national referendums and good chocolate and you can ski wherever the hell you want.

well being that america is as capitalist as they come, its no suprise that americans base their freedom on money. the american dream is the freedom one can acquire through the gain of wealth and thus power. many americans don't understand how countries in europe who have far less financially per capita can have a higher standard of life. the american dream (ski pimp where are you), suggests that other countries are miserable and poor because they do not place the same emphasis on freedom through financial success.

The US is great and no there are alot more contries that have the death penetly, most other places inclued hanging and choping off of heads. Anyone can live above povrety in the US all it takes is A JOB! I rather live here working 50 hour weeks at fast food joint then starving to death in some other place.
