Is it just me or do these stupid ass commercials make any one else want to go out and do drugs just so im not like the people on those commercials!

they're effective. i'll smoke a j every now and then but for the most part i have a bad association with drugs - my guess is that it comes from seeing commercial after commercial showing the effects of drug abuse that result in the junkie lifestyle. they're obnoxious but its the impressionable kids that really take to it, the littler kids.

It's never occured to me to smoke straight up cigarettes... maybe the commercials worked? Or maybe it's just that nobody in my area does it anymore.

The best one I've seen had these two gys in one of their dad's office. They're saying excessively stupid things and basically acting stoned, and then the guy sitting behind the desk opens one of the drawers and finds a gun, pulls it out, and starts doing the butt-head laugh, ''Uh-huh huh... look at this...'' followed by a loud BANG! and suddenly the screen goes black.

The moral of the commercial: Don't smoke pot! You'll shoot your friends!

By the way B-Wald... worst pun ever. I'm not even joking, never do that again. Anticlimatic...horrible.

I can forgive the anti-drug commercials for being ridiculously bad, because hey, we all know how out of touch those organizations are with youth.

What disturbs me most though, are the new mcdonalds commercials gracing the pages of Freeze, TWS, etc.. Now McDonalds should just be smarter than this. Here's a quote from the latest ad. Pictured is a teen-to-20-something rich kid next to his suped-up import:

'This is how I live. For track events. Fast. In corners. The never ending pursuit of breaking the sound barrier. Pulling 11s. My team, Drifting. My turbo.
A Quarter pounder with cheese. Maybe a double. Throw some fries in there too. All this livin' makes a guy hungry. Ya know?'

Now I must say that is one of the worst ads I have ever seen in my life. Talk about not 'getting it' to the extreme.

yeah advertisers are way too out of touch...the McDonals commercials are horrible...so are the radioshack ones. The Milk commercial with the thugged out fammers rapping and blinged up cows and tractors is just hilarious though

I think there should be a commercial with an astronaut floating around and it should say just tell houston u missed the moon cuz u were getting stoned theyll understand...or just tell your parents you won the lottery cuz u were gettin stoned they will understand.

they should make one showing three kids hiding out in the woods smoking a blunt. then they hear all these sirens, so they start getting freaked out like they're gonna get busted, like a nice anti drug commercial should be. then they see a weird man comes crashing through the woods with a gun in his hand dragging a little girl. he doesn't notice the kids smoking, and stops. then the kids, being the useless stoners they are, sneak up, and break the weird man's face.

JUST TELL YOUR PARENTS YOU SAVED THE LITTLE GIRL, AND HER VIRGINITY BECAUSE YOU WERE GETTING STONED.

Eversince the Police came to my school with photos of OD cases I'll never touch them, girl drank 8litres of water, her face was so swollen (she'd ODd on Es) and this dude has ODd on Heroin after the only vein he could find was in his dick, he ODd fell over and it tore right through. When he regained consiousness at the hospital he passed out from the pain and didn't recover. I left school a while back but those photos will haunt me forever.

fuck opiates and theyre constipation, i dont get the one with the rewind at all, the one where it starts with a girl passed out and it rewinds her goin through the party and shit, i didnt see anything wrong there, you drink your gonna get fucked up, if you dont wanna get fucked up, dont fuckin drink, then it goes to some girl takin a hit in a car and rewinds to her mom finding a bag before she goes to school, and then her mom stops her instead of letting her go through the whole day leading up to the car, now ive seen it a few times, and i still dont get the fuckin point, so i went to their website(www.antidrug.com i think), they have basic drug info and shit and then a bunch of wak ass pointless commercials that make no sense, basically the campaigns point or thesis if you will is 'dont do drugs or let your kids do drugs because we say so' fuck that shit
